How to Manually Integrate Your ads.txt File

Implementing the ads.txt file is an obligatory and essential step to start monetizing your site with Improve Digital Yield. The file lists all the buyers allowed to access your inventory, which helps prevent ad fraud and enhances your site's credibility. This guide provides the step-by-step instructions for manual integration using an FTP client like FileZilla.

Step 1: Get Your ads.txt File from Improve Digital Yield Dashboard

  1. Go to Improve Digital Yield website and log in to your publisher account.

  2. Navigate to the ads.txt section of the menu.

  3. Choose the MANUAL tab and select the domain in which you want to integrate the file.



      4.You can either click  "Download ads.txt file" to save the file to your computer or copy the lines

      of text directly from the text box.

Step 2: Upload the File to Your Web Server

You will need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), your web hosting control panel (like cPanel), or another file management tool to upload the file to your server. The following is an example using FileZilla with an OVH host.
Get Your FTP Credentials: Log in to your hosting provider's control panel (the example shows OVH) and navigate to the "Web" section, then "Hosting". Go to the "FTP-SSH" tab to find your ftp server, Login, and Password.


  1. Connect in FileZilla:

  1. Open FileZilla and go to "File" > "Site managers". Click "New site" and give it a name.
  2. Fill in the Host (your ftp server), Identifier (your login), and Password fields with the information from your host.
  3. Set the "Authentication type" to "Normal" and click "Connect". Upload the File:
  4. Your site's files will appear in the right-hand box of the FileZilla software.
  5. In the right-hand window, navigate to the root of your site (often a folder named "www").
  6. In the left-hand window (your computer), find the ads.txt file you downloaded, right-click on it, and click "Send".
  7. The file will be transferred directly to the root of your site.


Step 3: Verify the Integration

Almost done! To check that the file is correctly installed, follow these two steps:

  1. Type the following address in your browser:
    http(s)://www.yourdomainname.com/ads.txt. You should see the text from the file.


  1. Return to your Improve Digital Yield dashboard and click the "VERIFY INTEGRATION" button.

Important Notes

  1. If you use Cloudflare: If you are using Cloudflare protection, we will not be able to verify your file automatically. You will need to contact our Customer Support.
  2. If you already have an ads.txt file: If you have an existing ADS.TXT file with other advertising networks, just copy our lines and add them to that file.
